I bring to my clients a wealth of experience in criminal law. Every person I represent deserves the best advice possible. When I meet a new client, it is always at a difficult and critical time in that person's life. My clients need to know that I will fight for them and achieve the best result possible in the justice system.
I have tried over a hundred jury trials, and I have handled thousands of cases. When a client entrusts me with his case, that client's case is the most important matter I have. For many people, the system is confusing and frightening. For many people, the case will affect their livelihood, their families and at times their freedom. For corporate clients, the criminal system can pose the risk of financial ruin. Clients can rest assured that I will always have their best interest in mind.
Being a lawyer is a privilege, and it is the privilege to serve others with skillful advocacy and sound advice. I have been fortunate to have served for many years as a prosecutor and then as Chief Deputy Attorney General in Delaware. I have been likewise fortunate to have been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, a highly selective organization that is comprised of the best trial lawyers in each state. Most importantly, I have been fortunate to have represented many good people who have had unfortunate circumstances or made singular mistakes and who I now can greet happily, as I see them in my neighborhood, the grocery store, at local schools or just as passers by. This is the most gratifying part of being a lawyer, knowing that you made a positive impact on a person's life. Our clients deserve no less.
